What Is an AI City?

An AI City is a next-generation urban model that leverages city data and
artificial intelligence (AI) across urban operations, services, and infrastructure to address urban challenges,
enhance efficiency and safety, and enable data-driven decision-making.

AI Cities pursue fundamental innovation in urban functions and citizen experience through:
the analysis of large-scale urban data (including transportation, environment, energy, and public safety),
AI- and generative AI–based support for urban operations and management,
and the testing and scaling of emerging technologies such as autonomous driving, robotics, and city operating systems (City OS).
